The ohh so cool life of Qooljet...
Attention :This is not a post to promote Qooljet .
I've been meaning to share this . This is merely my opinion , hence the "My Say" category .
Several days ago , i joined my bf to hear bout this new way of making money . He was pushed by his family , and me as a skeptic bout all this easy money schemes , decided to join just so that I can give them my opinions after listening to what it's all about .
So we were taken to a Hotel suite , and when we entered the room , there were few guys(casually dressed) chatting , surrounding a laptop on a table . My 1st impression was , ermm ..such a rich company that has private jets for rental etc , and all they can get is a hotel suite ? They don't even have their own office to show to us?
Well then , we were greeted and we took our sit at the sofa . The 1st thing that they show using another Acer laptop , is that their account and their weekly bonus & pay . This guy explained to us bout how he will then chose either to transfer the money to his bank account or keep is as bonus points . Forgive me , but hello...we are clueless bout what the hell is this thing actually , yet the 1st thing u show is the money..sounds so desperate to me .
Then they said that we are lucky cuz the CEO of qooljets is inside the bedroom , he just reached here from the airport . He was apparently the Emerging Entreprenuer of 2007 , they said , which was won by the CEO of Air Asia previously in 2006 . To me , well what a coincidence that he is there ...lucky us? or...it is some drama plots that they are pulling...jeezz....
After that , the same guy , continue with his presentation to us , on that same laptop . There were around 10 of us , staring at that small laptop . I guess this is their way of presenting to potential clients . Some were impressed that they have laptops , hotel suites . Some says it's just dodgy . Well maybe , they can impress the aunties & uncles , the college kids , or some naive people , certainly not me and few of us . They can't even buy a projector or sumtin and the Acer laptop failed to impress me one bit.
I whispered to my bf , what do they actually do with the money . Anyone can join , just by investing RM200 per lots . This hundreds thousands , millions spending company are inviting we, the small peas to invest just RM200 ? Sounds fishy to me . The company branding is all bout luxury to the elites , and these are all contradicting to me .
I decided to ask , how do they roll the money ? Then a mid-aged guy , answered by again explaining how we can generate money doing this thing . Basically..they can't answer my question , they spinned the story everytime . I just wanted to know how they cant profit from the small peas . Instead , they explained again n again on how we can profit , what bonus we can get .Bullocks ! They said , if we have enough bonus points , we get to redeem the prizes such as luxury holidays (with limousine escort) , luxury handphones , superbikes or even a Mercedes . Not forgetting , a duplex condo apparently .
Another point is , his answer is , it's a program , networking..do u know bout networking ? hahahaha.....well , his job is to sell whatever it is he's trying to sell , but he failed , instead , he asked me sarcastically if I'm aware bout networking programs .
There's this one lady , she's apprarently a Datin (well she didnt dress like one) , she said that this is not MLM , nor a pyramid nor a scam . To me...the what the hell is it ?
After that , the CEO got out of the bedroom with a few guys . He's the only guy that is dressed to impress in his business suit . The rest are all casually dressed , some with shorts . Then this one chinese guy , showed off a mini replica of a jet , saying that their boss just bought a 15million jet for the company . Well it add up more to my curiosity .
This so called program , is not even launched yet , and they said that it will be launch in april or may . For those who knows bout this , are lucky cuz they are among the early birds .
So when i got home , my bf & I had a long discussion bout this scheme . We came out with our own theories :
1) The company is reaching bankrupcy , hence they need money to pay their debts
2) The company needs to show some liquidity in their books
3) They would just collect the money then leave the country...hahaha , but they are currently paying the subsribers some money...just so that they can gain the trust .
Whatever it is , I'm still a skeptic , and they haven't prove me wrong , Yet !...
Owh...for those who wants to be impressed here's the link : http://www.qooljet.biz/

The chimp cartoon that got the world talking..
This cartoon is the reason that I received and open letter by my favourite singer , John Legend .
Open Letter to the New York Post
From John Legend
Dear Editor:
I'm trying to understand what possible motivation you may have had for publishing that vile cartoon depicting the shooting of the chimpanzee that went crazy. I guess you thought it would be funny to suggest that whomever was responsible for writing the Economic Recovery legislation must have the intelligence and judgment of a deranged, violent chimpanzee, and should be shot to protect the larger community. Really? Did it occur to you that this suggestion would imply a connection between President Barack Obama and the deranged chimpanzee? Did it occur to you that our President has been receiving death threats since early in his candidacy? Did it occur to you that blacks have historically been compared to various apes as a way of racist insult and mockery? Did you intend to invoke these painful themes when you printed the cartoon?
If that's not what you intended, then it was stupid and willfully ignorant of you not to connect these easily connectable dots. If it is what you intended, then you obviously wanted to be grossly provocative, racist and offensive to the sensibilities of most reasonable Americans. Either way, you should not have printed this cartoon, and the fact that you did is truly reprehensible. I can't imagine what possible justification you have for this. I've read your lame statement in response to the outrage you provoked. Shame on you for dodging the real issue and then using the letter as an opportunity to attack Rev. Sharpton. This is not about Rev. Sharpton. It's about the cartoon being blatantly racist and offensive.
I believe in freedom of speech, and you have every right to print what you want. But freedom of speech still comes with responsibilities and consequences. You are responsible for printing this cartoon, and I hope you experience some real consequences for it. I'm personally boycotting your paper and won't do any interviews with any of your reporters, and I encourage all of my colleagues in the entertainment business to do so as well. I implore your advertisers to seriously reconsider their business relationships with you as well.
You should print an apology in your paper acknowledging that this cartoon was ignorant, offensive and racist and should not have been printed.
I'm well aware of our country's history of racism and violence, but I truly believe we are better than this filth. As we attempt to rise above our difficult past and look toward a better future, we don't need the New York Post to resurrect the images of Jim Crow to deride the new administration and put black folks in our place. Please feel free to criticize and honestly evaluate our new President, but do so without the incendiary images and rhetoric.
Sincerely,
John Legend
After reading his letter , I googled on the real story . And this is what I read from Times Online :
Protesters gathered outside the New York Post’s Manhattan office last night chanting “shut the Post down” after they claimed a cartoon in the tabloid compared President Obama to a chimpanzee.
The Post's Editor-in-Chief insists his cartoonist was simply mocking the authors of the fiscal stimulus Bill as no better than a team of trained monkeys. But the newspaper’s critics say Sean Delonas’s sketch was tantamount to calling for Barack Obama to be assassinated.
The cartoon, published on page six of the newspaper on Wednesday, showed a policeman standing over the corpse of an ape with a smoking gun in his hand. A colleague says to him: “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus Bill.”
The cartoon was referencing a celebrity chimpanzee named Travis who was shot dead by police in Stamford, Connecticut on Monday, after it mauled a friend of its owner.
Well , I agree with JL that if we chose to practice Freedom of Speech , we have to be responsible and be ready to face the consequences that shall come with it . And , why do you have to use a chimp ? Why not use a Joker or a puppet or sumtin? It's also a disgrace to the animal lovers out there .
So , i'm writing this in support of the misused of the reference subject .
